A girl not interested on Marrying a pastor

Neither am I

I do not want;
To talk about it anymore;
Like you do;
I told you;
Long time ago;
The first time when you meet me;
Yes;
I told you;
That a Pastor;
I will never;
I will never associate myself with;
A Pastor’s wife;
I will never be;
But if deciding to take that road;
You will be traveling alone.

President Robert Mugabe

It is election time in Zimbabwe this weekend, people are going to vote for a person who they think he will bring joy, in to their life, a person who is going to take Zimbabwe from where it is to a better level, althou Mugabe says It will take a Decate for Zimbabwe to be solved, Opposition parties do not think so.

Well as Peter Moruthane, i agree with him, he says it will take a decate if someone tries to fix it, Zimbabwe will only be fixed by Mugabe when and if he want to. This man is a great leader according to me.

I also want to let you that he is a Role Model to me. VIVA MOGABE.

Below is a poem for him

President Robert Mugabe

A true African president;
Who believes his country;
He believes his decisions;
And he trusts his actions;
He is a rock;
That can not be shaken;
A rock that can not be moved.

Some call him a blocking rock;
While other ululate when glimpsing his face;
To others he is a role model;
And to others just a piece of a hell.

84 years he is;
Still strong;
And young looking;
Still leading;
Without shaking.

More than two decades in power;
President Robert Mugabe;
An true iron fist leader;
He destroys everything;
He builds and destroys;
That is what he is known of.

Consultations for him;
Is a waste of money;
Negotiations for him;
Is a waste of time and energy;
He is a president;
A leader.

Some call him a leader;
And some says a dictator;
He is
Robert Mugabe.

University Residential workshop was very useful to students

University Residential workshop was very useful to students
“Do not abuse your room mates by sleeping with girls/boys in front of them”

Students from all residences in the campus were able to interact with different stakeholders of the university for the first time ever. The department of housing hosted a seven days workshop at MBL Dining Hall, in order to introduce students to the university lifestyle and services. The workshops started last on the 25th February and it ended on the 5th March. The workshops attended by university stakeholders from Security, Housing, Health, Academic Development and Student SRC and the office of the Student Affairs. Mr. Moselekwa the director of Housing and his assistance Mrs. Lemekwane were there to also facilitate the programme. The main role of the workshop was to introduce residential Policy guide line to students.

After every presentation students managed to ask questions and clarities, and also make suggestions were applicable. They complained about their residence because there is no running hot water. Some they complained about the issue of security at the entrance of their residence, ladies said they are treated unfairly because they are not allowed to enter their residence with more than one male classmate, because they are only allowed to get in with one male friend. “What should we do when we want to do a group work in our rooms” said one of the students at MBK.

The director of housing Mr. Moselekwa encouraged students to cooperate in the residence in order for them to be there for a long time. “ I do not want to meet you at the hearing, I love you and I care enough for you, you are my children” said Moselekwa. He also asked students not to abuse their room mates by coming sleeping with girlfriends/boyfriends in the room while the roommate is there. “Last week we called the parents of a student who slept with a girlfriend in the room while the roommates is watching, his parents were shocked and I do not want to see you doing the same” he continued.

The workshops were very successful because more that two hundreds students managed to attend daily.

Know your status and live a healthy life

Know your status and live a healthy life
Get tested today

By Kgobalale Peter Moruthane

It has came to my mind that even now many people still do not know what it means to go for HIV test. People think about many things that are not even there in this world, like after testing you are going to die, these perceptions is because they do not have information. I want to urge all young people especially students to go for VCT because it is good for them. Get tested today, and start living a healthy life. If you did not test you are really walking in a dark towards running water.

Voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) for HIV is the process whereby an individual or couple ndergo counseling to enable him/her/them to make an informed choice about being tested for HIV. This decision must be entirely the choice of the individual/s and he must be assured that the process will be confidential. VCT is much more than drawing and testing blood and offering a few counseling sessions. It is a vital point of entry to other HIV/AIDS services, including prevention and clinical management of HIV-related illnesses, tuberculosis (TB) control, psychosocial and legal support, and prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (MTCT). High-quality VCT enables and encourages people with HIV to access appropriate care and is an effective HIV-prevention strategy.

VCT can also be an effective behavior-change intervention. VCT offers a holistic approach that can address HIV in the broader context of peoples’ lives, including the context of poverty and its relationship to risk practice. VCT offers benefits to those who test positive or negative. VCT alleviates nervousness, increases clients’ perception of their vulnerability to HIV, promotes behavior change, facilitates early referral for care and support—including access to antiretroviral (ARV) therapy—and assists in reducing stigma in the community.

There is demand for VCT (people want to know their HIV serostatus). Demand can also be created when comprehensive services are made available and stigma is reduced. An increasing number of countries are rapidly addressing the quality and quantity of care-related programs. Care-related activities include increased access to ARV therapy. VCT services must be made more widely available given this dynamic context and that access to care (including ARVs) requires people to know their HIV serostatus. In most universities we have health centre and all of them they offer and facilitate VCT.

I said what was on my mind

I said what was on my mind

I am South African;
And I have rights;
Like other South Africans;
I have a right;
To say what ever I want to;
As long as is not a harm to others.

I did the same;
Spoke what was in my mind;
In order to help;
But unfortunately;
What I said;
Fell in to the ears;
Of people who do not want;
To hear what wrongs they are doing.

I was emotional;
And angry;
When people compromise their own lives;
Because of a silly tiny thing;
I love them;
They are my sisters;
And I care for them;
I do not want them to suffer

When they fell pregnant;
Because of invalid reasons;
It makes me angry;
Because the minutes;
They begin to suffer;
They will come back to us;
Crying for our help;
It is better to tell them;
What I feel now.

I said what was on my mind.

I decided to quit

I decided to quit

Promoting a healthy lifestyle;
At University of Limpopo I did;
Educating students;
About their health life;
Challenges and how to tackle them.

I was a peer educator;
Very disciplined and dedicated;
And very professional I was;
For full four years;
Without being appreciated;
Now I have heard enough;
I decided to quit.

I worked hard;
But for the sake of students;
And for the sake of my fellow south African;
Without support and appreciation;
I continued with all my heart.

Maybe I was trapped;
Because I just made;
A very little silly mistake;
By only saying what I had to;
A mere personal comment.

Now fingers are pointing at me;
I am being called a rotten potato;
It is enough;
I can not take it any more;
I decided to quit.

Survival of the fittest

Survival of the fittest

By Kgobalale Peter Moruthane

Our parents struggled;
20 years back;
They fought for freedom;
They fought against;
White supremacy;
So that we can be;
A rainbow nation.

Indeed;
They fought;
And they won;
But now what is happening;
Are we still going back;
Were our parents are from.

Why domination;
Of a certain tribe or color;
Why are we fighting
In our own country;
Why are we discriminating;
Against each other.

Does a color still matter;
Does a tribe still matter;
I know color is there;
And tribes are there;
But let then not put us apart;
Because we are the children of this soil;
All of us;
Black or white.

Why are we killing each other;
In the name of racism;
Why are we assaulting each other;
In the name of racism;
Our grandfather once said;
Never, never and never again;
Do we disrespect;
What he said;
South Africans;
Let us sing a song;
A song of a rainbow nation;
Nkosi sinkeleli Africa.

Life a mystery

Life a mystery

By Kgobalale Peter Moruthane
www.moruthanepeter.blogspot.com

One person said to me;
On my first year at University;
He said not all of us;
Will leave this university;
Carrying degrees or diplomas;
But only few of us;
Not even half;
But few of us.

It may not be our fault;
And not our parents;
But because life is mystery;
Some will die;
Some will drop out;
And some will fail.

Some will get involved;
In issues that do not concern them;
And at the end of the day;
They will be expelled.

Three years at a University;
It is a long way;
Which need one;
To be careful on were he sits;
Be careful on what you say;
And be careful on friends you choose.

If not so;
Then one will be part;
Of those who will go home;
Without their degrees;
Those who will go home dead;
And those who will never go home;
Because they would be jailed for life.

Adaptation to a University life

A life at university is a totally different life when comparing to all lifestyles, because people who attend a tertiary education are from different lifestyle background, and they are from different countries, provinces and villages. Every one of them had a type of life he/she was living at her/his place. When all type of life styles and backgrounds meet a one complex type of life style is formed and it is called a Tertiary Life Style. Although all students will end up enjoying this type of life style, there are few steps that the first entering students should follow to adapt quickly this unique life style.

01. Make Sure that you apply for university admission early

New students should apply early to high institutions to avoid last minutes rush and disappointments. After admitted and registered, make sure that you collect all documents needed e.g. Student Card, Cafeteria Smart Card and Library Card.

02. Find a mentor

Make sure that you find a mentor as soon as you finish the process of registrations and accessing all documents needed. A mentor is somebody who will mentor you through everything that involves the academic work at a university. This person is also responsible to clarify you with everything that concern the academic work.

03. What about finding a friend?

Being alone is something that will make you adapt to the university life style after long time, without a friend you will be lonely, stay in your room, go to library, go to lecture rooms and sleep, which is not healthy. Get a friend that you will talk with, go around with and go for shopping with. In most universities all first entering students are occupying only double rooms where by they have room mates, this was meant to make sure that every one have a friend or someone to make her/him busy.

04. Know your University

With the help of your friend you will not be afraid of going around the university, checking all services that are offered for students e.g. Health, Counseling, Arts and et cetera. This is to make sure that you are familiar with all buildings around the campus, some universities are big enough whereby you may not be able to know all sides, but it is advisable for you to know it.

05. What about your resource places

Library, Computer Laboratory, Photocopying Room and others. Make sure that you visit them very often because it is your resource room, your books and computers are there. You may also go there for refreshment, read novels and surf the net.

06. Any Events to attend?

Check around the campus, is there any notices talking about events? Have a look and make sure that you check many of them very often. Attending events can help you and your mind, this one is regarded as refreshment. Be aware of being a party animal! Do not be one.

A alleged bus accident disturbs students

A alleged bus accident disturbs students

Students may have had an accident on their way to funeral in Malelane, Mpumalanga.

By Kgobalale Peter Moruthane
www.moruthanepeter.blogspot.com

On weekend there were unconfirmed disturbing rumors around the campus that students had an accident on their way to a funeral in Mpumalanga. Students came in numbers to lay to rest one of their classmate and a media student Nkosinathi Lucky Mhlongo. Mhlongo died last week on Thursday, he was on his way with other students from student march in Pretoria, were they handed over a memorandum of concerns to the education minister Naledi Pandor. It is alleged that his death came after an argument over revolutionary songs. It is believed that his body was thrown out of a moving taxi on the way towards the campus.

Three students who are arrested in conjunction with the incident are Tabane Serumula, George Tswai and Raymond Mabelebele. They appeared in Mankweng magistrate court last week Monday and charged with murder case, and the case was adjourned to March 3, 2008. Students will again embark on a march to Magistrate to validate the reason of the perpetrators of not to be given bail.

I do have wings

I do have wings

By Kgobalale Peter Moruthane

Yes, it is true;
I do have wings;
Wings to fly;
Like other birds;
And I do know;
I know how to sing;
Like other birds.

Why do you say that;
I do not have wings;
Why do you say that;
I do not know how to sing;
If I do not fly when with you;
Does it mean I do not have one?
If I do not sing when with you;
Does it mean I do not know how to?

Ask;
Ask me to;
Ask me to fly;
Do not assume I do not have;
Ask;
Ask me to;
Ask me to sing;
Do not assume I do not know.

Maybe I am not ready to fly;
Maybe I am not ready to sing;
Do not say I do not have;
And do not say I do not know how.

Do not you see;
That I am like other birds?
Or do you see any different?
I have feathers;
And I have a peak;
Those are the characteristics of a bird.

I am just alone

I am just alone

By Kgobalale Peter Moruthane

I came to this world being alone;
I grew up in the hands of my family;
I spent more time with them;
And I also spent more time with my friends;
And now I am independent;
I am no longer depending on my parents;
I have responsibilities;
For every action I take.

There is something I learned;
I am alone;
And I will always be alone;
In this world;
Because I was alone when I came here.

Many of the things I did;
Throughout my entire life;
Up until now;
I learned that I used my responsibilities;
Some I was responsible;
And some I was irresponsible.

Friends sometime may be my influence;
Environment sometime can also be my influence;
But I learned something;
That I am just alone;
Let me not be influenced by external matters;
Let me do things in my own.

Not the way my parents want;
Not the way my friends want;
Not the way my teachers want;
But in my own;
And not forgetting to consider their advice.

This Limpopo born artist is an inspiration to all reggae music supporters in Limpopo and in South Africa in General, his latest album with the Jah live named Cornerstone is an example to show people how multi talent he is. Being a leading vocal and at the same time backing vocal is what he does in his album cornerstone. In his Music he speaks about social problems that people faces each and every day e.g. Track 03 in the album It is Tough for me, in this song Ntshenge try to show people how he has suffered, after he moved from rural area looking for job and find out that there is no jobs there, and after finding a Job he never get paid. He talks about what is exactly happening in South Africa for people who do not have Jobs. He also speaks about Love, religious issues and politics.
His track “Call for a World Peace” is provoked many people, he speaks about people like President Robert Mugabe and how world leaders can contribute to bring back peace in country like Uganda where people dies because of hunger. In the song Ntshenge emphasized the fact that all world leaders should call for an International peace conference to address this issue of wars and poverty in African countries. He further indicated that apartheid is South Africa is no longer there because of Unity and it also means that if all world leaders can come together then peace can be with people around the world. “ I want this song to reach all countries of the world, I just do not know how but people really need to hear it will transform all nations” said Ntshenge.
His music is suitable for all types of people, Christians, non-Christians and even Rastafarians. According to Bula Music because of his musical background that dates back to when he was just five when he was playing the drums and singing has contributed much to his talent which he just honored by recording his album titled “Cornerstone”.
Ntshenge is from a rural area in Limpopo province called Venda, and he was born from a family of a musical background because his father was a musician. I think all people should make sure that they catch his album because it is not the one to be missed.
